The team is part of a larger Research and Development group which is split between New Zealand and North America. The R&D group is responsible for developing and maintaining our products, which are sold and supported around the globe.

**Responsibilities**
Collaborating with the development teams to create product documentation, such as user guides, customization guides, and online help
Producing documentation for each new release
Working with the other technical writers to maintain shared resources for the team, including templates, style guides, and a shared wiki
**Skills & Requirements**

Communication - this will be a real strength, especially offering opinons, sharing information and ideas, and relating to your teammates. Your written skills will obviously be a specific strength

Qualifications - you have recently completed an appropriate tertiary qualfication.
Technology Background - we’d prefer someone with a strong interest in IT and an aptitude for understanding and working with technical information. For example, reading specifications and other materials to obtain knowledge of how our software works. Experience with HTML/CSS would be an advantage, but not a necessity.
Tools experience - we use Microsoft products, and it’ll help if you are familiar with a help authoring tool like Flare, or a video recording and editing tool such as Captivate or Camtasia.
Accounting principles - a knowledge of this is beneficial for this role.

**Working for us**
You’ll be working in a product family, which is a close, cross functional team focused on a particular domain, for example, the billing process. The team is a mix of engineers, business analysts, a product manager and technical writers who are tended to by a team lead. A prioritized backlog drives the goals of the team and work is carried out in small increments. The team owns the product delivery including test automation, performance optimization, reliability engineering, telemetry, and customization support.
