We have mobile apps, web apps and back end solutions to meet the needs of our clients. We work with a range of clients both local and international, from start-ups, to established banks and large corporates.

**About this Role**

Our Auckland-based product team works with all stakeholders inside and outside the company to provide the best product and experience to our worldwide customers. We take requirements from clients, perform market research and product analysis, to generate a vision and roadmap for the Youtap products and then work with our developers (both local and international) to implement that roadmap.

We need a technical writer to help us document the requirements, vision and roadmap, as well as own and maintain the end user documentation to the high standard expected by our clients. This person will be an integral part of the product team, and being a small company, there's opportunity for them to gain new experience in other areas.

**Key responsibilities**
- Work with our global technical, delivery, and sales teams, as well as vendors and partners, to determine documentation requirements.
- Document use cases and customer journey flows.
- Produce and maintain documentation for end users, such as user guides and knowledge base articles.
- Assess existing documentation to identify and fill gaps.
- Contribute product content to sales and marketing collateral.
- Occasionally plan and lead customer training sessions, either in the form of live Microsoft Teams sessions or pre-recorded video tutorials.
- Occasionally assist with Business Analyst responsibilities, such as understanding customer requirements, analysing new product initiatives, and performing market research.
- Take on other responsibilities as required, including project delivery support, client management and even product design.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a Technical Writer.
- May have worked with or as a Business Analyst.
- Familiarity with tools such as InDesign, Figma, Microsoft Office 365 Suite and flow charting tools.
- Ability to work with Software Teams, Product Teams and UX/UI Teams to document products and solutions, user guides, manuals and flows.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to extract information from SMEs and varied source material and to transform complex information into material that is clear and concrete.
- Ability to liaise and build relationships with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage competing priorities, and be flexible with quick priority changes.
- Curiosity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

**Benefits**
- We offer competitive salary packages and a pleasant working environment.
- A friendly, fun team with a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- This will be a diverse and interesting role working as part of a global team in a fast-moving and growing sector.
- Located in a great downtown location in the beautiful city of Auckland, New Zealand, close to bus, ferry, and train transport.
