**Alcohol and Drug Clinician - CADS Dual Diagnosis**

CADS is the largest Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) service in New Zealand working with over 15,000 people each year. CADS provides free community and inpatient AOD treatment from a number of locations across Auckland. CADS is committed to empowering the community to discover healthier use of substances (harm minimisation) and to promote recovery and well-being.

**About the role**

You will be part of a specialist team providing assessment and clinical case support to clients of mental health services in the Auckland Region who have a co-existing substance abuse or dependency problem. We also deliver training and coaching around Dual Diagnosis issues.

**Essential**

A sense of social justice and enjoy working with people in all their complexity is required. You will have a non-judgmental attitude, excellent engagement and communication skills, and an ability to work autonomously within a team. You will also have:

- Complete registration with a professional body (DAPAANZ, nursing, social work, counselling, psychology, occupational therapy or related fields)
- Full, clean driver's licence
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in your daily work

**Preferred**
- Clinical experience in addictions or mental health or similar
- Comfortable working in a range of settings including probation, prisons, NGOs
- Comfortable working with other health and social service providers
- Lived experience as a consumer or whanau member
- Experience in group facilitation

**_Experience and/or training in the alcohol and drug field is preferred, as well as relevant tertiary qualifications, assessment, treatment and referral skills._**
