**About the Role**
AOTS uses a harm reduction philosophy, supporting people towards recovery and supporting people in their communities. The treatment programme is characterised by comprehensive assessment, individual recovery planning, and a long-term treatment approach where indicated.
The role is rewarding and AOTS strongly supports professional development with a comprehensive orientation process.
Using your empathic approach, with excellent written, communication and time management skills you will carry a caseload of clients receiving medication treatment prescribed by CADS and/or primary care.
You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of like-minded health professionals who embrace diversity and share a commitment to working with clients in partnership to achieve their goals.

**About You**
**Essential**:
- You will have a sense of social justice
- Enjoy working with people in all their complexity with a non-judgemental attitude.
- excellent engagement and communication skills
- ability to work autonomously within a team. You will also have:
- Full registration with a professional body (e.g. DAPAANZ, nursing, social work, counselling, psychology, occupational therapy)
- Drivers licence
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in your daily work
**Ideally, the incumbent will also have**:
- Clinical experience in mental health, alcohol/drug, social work or related fields, preferably as a key worker
- Post graduate qualification in alcohol and drug work or related fields
