We are seeking a** Faculty Insights Analyst**to join the Planning & Information Office on a fixed term basis to cover parental leave. This is an opportunity for you to utilise your analysis and advanced data visualisation skills, to bring data to life for Faculty and Student Services leaders.

Reporting into the Planning & Information Office, you will be able to bridge the gap between an in-depth understanding of the information needed and our solution specialists supporting the design, development and operations of vital systems.

The Faculty Insights Analyst role is focused on the strategic, tactical and operational information needs of the University. The role will meet the information needs of senior Faculty staff, and their stakeholders, through understanding, enhancing, and drawing actionable insights from related information available in the University’s Data and Analytics platform.

This is a full time (37.5hours/ week) fixed term (until ~20th April 2026) position, with a salary range will be between $83,300-$89,200 and will be dependent on experience.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team**

The Planning and Information Office (PIO) leads and coordinates strategic and operational planning and administrative information collation and provision for the University. A range of information, support and advice is provided, including strategic, tactical and operational information; monitoring and assessing the institution’s performance; coordinating the planning process and developing; data governance and maintaining the University’s repositories of business information.

This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark by both shaping and enhancing the delivery of mana-enhancing services within select faculties.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

Comfortable working independently as well as partnering with a variety of stakeholders at both strategic and operational levels, you will be adept at tailoring your analysis and reporting to provide optimal value for the respective audiences. You will need to provide analyst services supporting accessibility and interpretation for critical information needs across a range of stakeholders, including supporting senior leaders.

You will excel at combining your critical thinking and analytical capability with contextual knowledge of business processes and systems, in order to derive insights and communicate the story within the data. You will be a champion of continuous improvement and a team player, contributing to the evolution of the network of analysts and information specialists into a thriving and supportive community of practise.

- Excellence in working with stakeholders to understand business context and provide interpretation of reporting in the form of actionable insights
- Demonstrated experience utilising analytics and reporting methodologies to identify and communicate areas of concern or improvements opportunities to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to bridge the gap between solution experts like technology-centred Business Intelligence teams or Data Science teams and the key stakeholders whose information needs are critical to value generation
- Excellence in data visualisation using business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI or similar
