We are looking for an admin superstar, to join our existing Patient Administration Coordinator team at the Patient Service Centre, Auckland District Health Board

**About our department**

Our Patient Service Centre (PSC) unit provides administration support to the clinical departments, by managing their external referrals, outpatient clinics, receptions, surgical procedures and follow-up appointments. We are a large team and collectively make about 850,000 outpatient appointments and over 300,000 surgical bookings per year.

**About the role**

In this role, you will be working for the adult surgical booking side of PSC. We’re a large, enthusiastic and friendly bunch with a great team culture and can do attitude. Arranging surgical procedures for the General Surgery service, your new role plays a pivotal part in a patient’s surgical journey.

The role is fast paced and requires proven administration experience, high levels of attention to detail and most importantly strong technical computer skills. You will:

- Work closely with the service managers, clinical leads and other internal departments, adhering to ministry of health requirements
- Be a point of contact to our patients, displaying empathy and cultural competence

**About you**

In order to deliver the highest quality, customer service to our valuable patients. You will need to have the right attitude. You will also need:

- To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to deliver a patient focused booking
- To display resilience and flexibility. Keeping up with today’s forever changing environment (Covid-19) can be a challenge
- To be a fast learner, great multitasker and be able to think on your feet
- To have a great sense of humour to be a good team fit
- This role also presents a future opportunity to work from home

This role is covered by the PSA Clerical & Admin MECA and the annual salary starts at $54,178 + an additional pay equity increase of $2,500. **= $56,678
