We are looking for a Assistant Manager to oversee the restaurant operations for our busy Middle-Eastern and South-West Asian restaurant in the Wellington region.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervising the daily operation of the restaurant when on shift.
- Maximizing sales through food and beverage
- Managing the resources and cash flow on shift
- Customer satisfaction and resolving complaints
- Ordering/ re-ordering of stock as per the need.
- Staff training and development.
- Develop and maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with kitchen/FOH staff co-workers
- Plan budgets and rosters as and when required
- Assist in planning menus with Chefs as and when required
- Take customers' bookings and help serve food and drinks
- Ensure takeaway and delivery orders are completed on time
- Ensure cleaning is undertaken during the morning shift
- Ensure the cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard and let staff know if there is anything extra that needs to be done, or if anything is not being done to the agreed standard

**Minimim 30 Hours guaranteed per week**

**Requirements and skills-**
- Good knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations
- Good Communication skills
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
- Should be able to lead the team

**Salary**: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wellington City, Wellington: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
