**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an **Intermediate Civil Engineer** to join our Land Development team in our **Tauranga**office. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on the delivery of some of HG’s biggest projects and contribute towards our vision of being the #1 urban development partner in Aotearoa. We are set for a busy 2025 and have a varied pipeline of work including residential, urban re-construction, infrastructure, and commercial developments that shape the future of our local communities.

Key responsibilities:

- Work on the delivery of civil engineering projects from initial concept design through to construction completion, ensuring design excellence and that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to a high standard.
- Preparation of 12D design models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Ensure innovative design solutions that balance human, financial and environmental needs.
- Drive project delivery to ensure they are completed within budget, on time, and to a high standard.
- Maintain existing client relationships and contribute towards business development initiatives such as identifying opportunities and writing proposals to enhance HG’s future project prospects. Play a key role in shaping better urban development for a diverse range of public and private clients across Aotearoa.

**Your skills and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years consulting experience with a background in delivering land development projects.
- Proficiency in 12D design software.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills plus the ability to establish collaborative relationships at multiple levels.
- Personal leadership, motivation, and self-management skills.
