- Salary midpoint of $102,204, actual salary dependent on your experience

The Public Health Agency leads all public health and population health policy, strategy, regulatory, intelligence, surveillance and monitoring functions, and has a key role in advising Ministers on all public health matters.
On a day to day basis, you will build and maintain collaborative relationships across the Ministry and Health entities, with New Zealand agencies and also with international partners to help achieve New Zealand's global health goals. You will design and deliver policy and briefing for Ministers and Senior Health Leadership, with a particular focus on delivering New Zealand's multilateral ‘pandemic prevention, preparedness and response' programme of work.

Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, experience in the UN, international or multilateral policy context would be advantageous
- Proven ability to succeed in a cross-agency policy environment, delivering high quality briefing for Ministers and senior leadership
- strong policy writing capability, with knowledge of Ministry of Health briefing and correspondence processes
- Ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences, including international partners and stakeholders
- Ability to deal sensitively with issues of diplomatic and/or political risk
