The Fat Duck Restaurant is a popular, vibrant and exciting Gastropub located in Te Anau on the edge of the stunning Fiordland National Park, with world class outdoor activities (and a lake) on the doorstep. We are a skip hop and a jump from Queenstown and from Invercargill, the gateway to the Caitlins.

We have a position available for someone with Hospo in their blood. We are looking for a full time BarManager, that can work in a fast paced environment, knows how to make your customers smile, and wants to be part of a great team. While we take our work and our jobs seriously, we also believe you should be able to enjoy your work and we believe in working hard and smart. Team Culture and the ability to learn and progress are key for us.

We are open 5 days a week Wednesday
- Sunday for dinner from 5pm.With these operational days and hours, it still leaves you time to explore the Fiordland playground as we are firm believers of a healthy work-life balance. The minimum hours will be 30 per week, max 45.

- Someone who can keep up We are a busy restaurant so you need to be able to think on your feet
- A person who enhances our team culture, and is empathetic and respectful
- A person who is organised and systematic in their approach to daily operations, with strong communication skills
- LCQ and Bar Managers Certificate required
- 1 year proven experience in a managing position is essential
- 3 years proven experience in a Bar role is essential
- Solid knowledge of NZ Wine, as well as advanced Spirits and Cocktail knowledge and skill is essential

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Ordering and Stock Management to a budget
- Managing daily operations including Floor and Bar service
- Ensuring Financial targets are met such as COGs and Wage Costs
- Training new team members
- Ensuring our legal obligations in regards to the Sale and Supply of liquor are met
