**Reports to**: Restaurant Manager, Owners

**Staff that report to this position**: Bar Staff.

**Contract**: Permanent Full Time, minimum 30hours/week mix of opening and closing shifts
finishing at the latest 1am (Friday/Saturday)

Overtimes rate will start from 50hours and will be paid at a 1.5 rate for each quarter worked

**Pay Rate**: $26-$29/hour based on experience. Perks: Staff meal on daily basis + 15% off
anything from our drink and food menu at any time + staffies on Friday and Saturday or successfully busy shift exceeding forecast.

**Objective**: To maximize sales volumes, efficient operation of the business and increaseprofitability. Leading the team to success and ensuring all work processes flow efficiently to help bring projects to completion.

**Duties**:
Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as taking inventory and reordering
supplies, managing under the budgets, and complying with the goals set by the
Operation Manager and/or the Restaurant Manager.
Keeping accuracy in the invoices.
Approving invoices and ensuring the prices are correct.
Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.
Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well
staffed during peak hours in relation with the Restaurant Manager.
Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
Planning and taking part in promotional events.
Diffusing tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety
or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.
Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
Updated the back-office system when needed with recipes, new items, stocktake etc.
Making a stocktake report to higher management on a fortnightly basis explaining
variances and others.
Creating new drinks menus (Cocktail etc.) when asked by the higher management
Doing cash up if needs be as well as sending the nightly report.

**Bar Manager Requirements**:
Restaurant or bar management experience preferred
Extensive experience behind a bar.
Liquor license controller certificate.
