About the role
In this position, you will join our Land Infrastructure team in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton where you will play an integral part in a national team of highly skilled specialists that

- Work on the design for a variety of projects such as Te Awa Lakes, Fonterra Upgrades, and future public & private developments-
- Turn analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction- Communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports- Bring your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and develop new business using your existing industry networks
As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop deep professional relationships with our clients as we strive to provide exceptional service and negotiate repeat work for our chosen clients.
You will interact and collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams including our ground engineering, consent planning, and civil structures teams as we work with our clients to understand their objectives & vision and work to achieve their goals and create new communities.
About you- A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering- At least eight years of relevant design experience, preferably within the New Zealand civil engineering industry, on projects spanning roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, and pavement design- Strong knowledge of design software such as Civil 3D and 12D, and in-depth knowledge of New Zealand design standards- A good understanding on local design standards within the Waikato- Experience with NZS3910 for Contract Management- Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors- Experience with general Contract administrator- You will either hold, or be working towards, Chartered status with Engineering New Zealand
