**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The primary purpose of the role is to provide a customer focussed payroll service to ensure that all staff are paid accurately in accordance with New Zealand legislation and employment agreements within the expected payroll timetable. This involves accurate and timely processing of payroll data, processing payroll runs, checking payroll reports and assisting in managing customer enquiries from the wider People and Culture team, staff, and agencies.

You will have excellent relationship building and prioritisation skills to connect and engage with stakeholders across the organisation, to assist in achieving payroll deliverables within the agreed timeframes. Couple this with your general payroll administration knowledge to support on boarding and inducting new payroll members while equally ensuring that all other service priorities are met.

- Computer literate with experience using online resources/tools
- Previous clerical / administrative experience
- Proven organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
- Previous experience using payroll software
- Sound understanding of the Holidays Act 2003 and any other Acts relevant to payroll i.e., Parental Leave Act, KiwiSaver Act, Wages Protection Act Employment Relations Act
