Here at MDC, we have had a reorganisation within Council this has created some exciting opportunities like this role the Graduate Policy Advisor This role is responsible for supporting the Policy Team with the Policy work programme. This means reviewing policies, plans and bylaws. You will ensure by way of research that the advice and recommendations provided are well informed and accurate. You will be a key part of the policy team ensuring relationships are formed and well maintained.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) (e.g. political science, public policy, law, economics) and/or background experience in a relevant field.
- Understanding of Local Government would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate diverse functions and activities to achieve objectives.
- Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex technical information into ‘easy to read’ content; and to present to diverse audiences in both formal and informal settings.
- Good skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
