We’re looking for

someone with

A postgraduate qualification in

Urban Design, and an undergraduate

qualification in architecture,

landscape architecture or planning

At least five years’ professional

experience in urban design and

related fields, preferably with some

of these years in a consultancy

environment

A portfolio of project experience

that demonstrates sound project

management skills, creativity, a

critical eye, the ability to problem

solve and actively contribute ideas

Skilled graphic ability and be able

to use a range of digital tools and

techniques. The software available to

our design team includes Autodesk

Suite, Sketchup, Revit, Adobe

Creative Cloud and ArcGIS

An enquiring mind, and the ability to

think both spatially and laterally

Clear and well-articulated written

and oral communication skills and

are able to effectively communicate

urban design principals to a wide

range of stakeholders

Professional registration within one

or more core urban design disciplines

We are seeking a passionate and talented Urban Designer to join our team

of consultants in Auckland. We have a strong pipeline of exciting, industry

leading and transformational master-planning projects throughout the

motu, that require people who are passionate about creating great places

through well-considered, innovative, people centric, and place-based design

to help forge a stronger connection between people and environments.

As an Urban Designer at Boffa Miskell, you will work collaboratively

alongside clients, stakeholders, and our multi-disciplinary project teams

to help create a legacy our people, clients and communities can be proud

of. Our diverse range of projects and clients could see you involved in

large scale spatial plans and site-based master-planning proposals one

day and shaping transport and public realm opportunities or undertaking

urban design reviews and assessments the next. From the outset, you’ll

be actively contributing to projects that help shape our communities

and adding to our unique and fun design team culture. We’re looking for
