Our Design & Construction department at Scentre Group is responsible for the end-to-end process from concept to delivery of our Westfield living centres. An integral part of this is the extensions and upgrades to existing centres. We develop and deliver designs that reflect the Westfield experience and latest thinking while optimising costs and providing speed to market that exceeds the best achievable by alternate delivery methodologies.
**Your opportunity**
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Contracts Administrator (Quantity Surveyor) to join our New Zealand Design & Construction arm working within our Special Projects team. This role is a permanent full time opportunity, based in our New Zealand Head Office conveniently located above Wesfield Newmarket.
Reporting directly into the Project Manager Special Projects NZ, your key purpose is the procurement, contract administration & financial reporting of the construction project trade contracts to achieve project WHS, Commercial, quality & programme objectives.
**Your key accountabilities will include**:
- Manage all commercial and financial activities to ensure completed works achieve the Work, Health, Safety & Environmental (WHS&E), Sustainability (ESD), time, cost and quality objectives for the project
- Manage the procurement, establishment and the proper administration of all allocated subcontracts and/or supply agreements
- Ensure all commercial administration activities on the project are in accordance with Scentre policies and procedures
- Assist in the timely and accurate submission of project reporting
- Preparation & agreement of submission to owners QS
- Preparation of hand over documents to delivery teams

- Tertiary or college qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar commercial construction role
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction and development projects
- Experience working on commercial and retail projects is highly desirable
- 100% accuracy in all areas of forecasting and cost management
- Effective time management skills and able to work in dynamic fast paced environment
- Strong relationship building skills.
