Intermediate/senior Gis Analyst

We have an exciting career development opportunity for a GIS Analyst, where you will provide GIS and other technical and administrative support on a range of small to large projects as part of our transportation team.
In this varied role, your day to day activities will include:

- Management of Moata Geospatial systems for major projects
- Liaison with the Digital Ventures team to integrate global GIS and Moata communities
- Assisting the Moata Geospatial Product Lead with existing locally based projects to allow for expansion into new client bases and disciplines
- Providing technical GIS support to specialist teams to introduce them to the benefits of Moata
- Work closely with other GIS team members in the business in ongoing development and implementation of standards to day to day GIS processes and data management
- Processing aerial photography and digital elevation data for inclusion on Geospatial projects
- Liaise confidently with external clients and colleagues across Mott MacDonald and work to expand our client and project portfolio of GIS projects
- Support bid managers in drafting and collating bid documentation, learning the quality, environment and safety requirements of projects and develop project management skills
- About you:

- Strong IT skills and experience with GIS software packages e.g. Esri ArcGIS
- Ability to demonstrate a range of data analysis skills and be enthusiastic about the GIS and transport sectors for both public and private sector projects
- Ability to analyse information and offer improved methodologies that provide efficiencies
- Flexible working - ability to liaise with UK teams regularly (in lieu of standard working hours)
- Attention to detail when dealing with complex datasets
- Ability to work effectively in a team and multitask
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both written and verbally
- Experience in geospatial scripting would be well regarded
