Our GIS Team is leading the way when it comes to innovative spatial solutions for Auckland Transport and its partners. We are utilising GIS Technology with real time data to create live mapping of public transport against timetables and schedules to provide better services to Auckland City and we are having fun doing this

Due to an internal promotion, we have an awesome opportunity for a Spatial Analyst Team Lead to join us In this role you will lead, motivate and empower a team of GIS Analysts and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of spatial projects across Auckland Transport (AT) to add value for Aucklanders and help making data-driven decisions in various divisions.

A day in the life of awesome opportunity is as follows:

- Perform complex spatial analysis such as environmental monitoring, network analysis, geospatial modelling and creation of automated workflows to enhance efficiency and value of geospatial outcomes for AT
- In collaboration with the relevant manager / team leader develop, implement, and continuously improve office management systems aligned to the needs of the GIS support team
- Lead the development of policies and procedures relating to effective practices and establish and promote best practice by sharing ideas, demonstrate innovative leadership and contribute on projects
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to management team and participate, recommend and lead in product/service development projects that benefit the spatial and visualisation technologies at AT

You will be a strong people leader with exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, you will bring your geospatial qualifications and problem-solving capabilities to contribute to the development of quality technology-based solutions.

To succeed as a GIS Spatial Analyst Lead you will require:

- Bachelors' Degree in Geography or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or computer science/ information systems plus considerable experience in geospatial systems and related software
- 2-5 years' experience as a team lead in Geospatial discipline
- Must have experience and knowledge using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap etc.), ArcSDE (configuration), ArcGIS server (including Portal configuration and web services) and at least some of the following products -Geomedia, Mapinfo, Adobe Suite, Google Sketchup
- Must have experience performing ETL tasks with Model Builder, FME and other data manipulation principles including metadata standards and quality principles
