**Engineer (Mechanical)**:

- Country/Region: Ne- City: AucklandOur Centre of Engineering partners with the Royal New Zealand Navy to provide complete engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the entire fleet. Reporting to the Availability, Reliability and Maintainability Manager, this role will have you performing technical investigations on RNZN equipment to understand issues affecting availability or reliability. You will develop recommendations and advice based on proven engineering principles and evidence-based analysis.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Conduct research on previous maintenance history for accurate decision making.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and investigate potential causes of failures.
- Develop clear and concise recommendations to improve availability and reliability of equipment.
- Comply with all HSE policy, processes and procedures applicable to operations as well as statutory HSE legislation, regulations and codes of best practice.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have a relevant engineering degree, diploma or equivalent experience and two - five years' experience with some exposure to reliability engineering and asset management. You have experience in mechanical and electrical systems and are proficient in Microsoft Office with strong skills in excel. You have sound analytical and report writing skills, comprehensive communication skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Those with significant experience/qualifications in reliability engineering and asset management and proficiency in the use of PowerQuery and macros for excel will be looked upon favourably.
