THE ROLE:

This opportunity would suit someone with Intermediate or better Mechanical Engineering skills. In this role you'll work closely with experienced engineers to develop detailed mechanical designs and models for industrial refrigeration systems. You'll gain exposure to complex, large-scale projects while building your technical expertise and advancing your career.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept design and quoting through to construction and commissioning
  • Develop technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Assist the mechanical design process by performing calculations, selecting equipment, and developing piping layouts
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety codes
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess equipment installations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, design or draughting
  • Proficiency in Autodesk products such as Plant 3D, Autocad, Inventor or an equivalent
  • Familiarity with design codes such as ASME B31.3
  • Ability to read and produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Keen eye for detail
