**Job Description**:
AECOM is growing and we are looking for a solutions focused Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our established Building Services team. In this role, you will provide specialist mechanical design solutions and offer expert technical advice to our clients on a diverse range of projects.

You will bring together business, commercial and technical skills, constantly balancing risk and opportunity in those areas to achieve the value and reward AECOM, our employees and our clients seek from us.

+ Provides specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

+ Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.

+ Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

+ Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

+ Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

+ Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

+ Prepares technical specification sections.

+ Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

**Qualifications**:
We are looking for a motivated Principal Engineer who thrives on project delivery within a high-support environment who has the following:
+ Bachelor degree in relevant discipline

+ Relevant post-graduate qualifications desirable

+ 10+ years of relevant experience

+ Recently published or presented paper(s) in a relevant technical area would be highly regarded

+ Chartered member of relevant professional body

+ Successful track record as a Mechanical Engineer with significant project experience.

+ Suitable experience of relevant design and construction processes.

+ Respected in the business community and/or engineering consulting industry.

+ Experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements

+ Experience in successfully leading project teams
