**About the role**:
We've got a great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Genesis team at our Hamilton or Tokaanu Office's. In this role you will provide the support role for mechanical engineering with a specific focus on Generation assets. You'll ensure generation assets meet lifecycle performance and operational requirements for the Generation fleet at the various Genesis Energy Sites.

We are looking for someone with the skills and knowledge to provides technical leadership, engineering solutions, expert technical advice as well as taking the technical lead for the delivery of plant overhaul/upgrade projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the management of the Generation assets through regular reviews of real time data (e.g. PI and Power BI) including collaboration with relevant engineering peers and operations & maintenance staff.
- Technical lead for the delivery of plant overhaul/upgrade projects
- Role model professionalism in behaviour and knowledge as an Engineer, Technical Authority, Advisor and Mentor
**About you**:

- Minimum of 8 years' experience in the power industry or heavy industry in an equivalent engineering role
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline or NZDE (Mechanical) or equivalent
- Project management experience
