**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**
We are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Institutional Research Analyst to join the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing UC's strategic vision by capturing, analysing, and reporting on the experiences of the UC community. Your work will be central to the team, particularly in survey research, course and teaching evaluations, and institutional research. By leveraging both primary and secondary data, you will generate insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement across the university.

**Mōu | Who You Are**
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate (NZQA Level 8) or Master's Degree (NZQA Level 9) preferred, in statistics, psychology, sociology, or other social sciences.
- Demonstrated academic ability and knowledge, preferably in Psychology, Statistics, or Social Sciences
- Proven experience conducting research and analysis in a large organisation
- Experience leading the design, development, and reporting of quantitative/qualitative research including statistical analysis and interpretation of data
- High competency of SPSS, Jamovi, R or other comparable statistical analysis tools, as well as a strong understanding of statistical principles
- High competency and experience with Qualtrics software
- A high level of computer literacy using Microsoft Office suite - in particular, Excel and Power Query
- Skilled in the development and design of interactive data dashboards in Power BI
- Experience liaising with senior management, department heads, or equivalent leadership stakeholders
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within tight timeframes, while also collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Previous experience working in a tertiary education setting is desirable

Tātari Raraunga | Analytics & Institutional Research sits within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio. The team plays a key role in institutional research, surveys, and analytics, ensuring UC has high-quality data and insights to inform decision-making.

In this role, you will work in a collaborative and research-focused environment, engaging with stakeholders across the university to support evidence-based improvements. The team specialises in student experience research, providing analysis through Power BI dashboards, reports, and other digital platforms to enhance academic and institutional outcomes.

Your work will contribute to a data-informed university culture, ensuring that research and evaluation support UC's strategic priorities and continuous improvement efforts.
