**Position Summary**

The role of the Cloud Platform Engineer is to support the Product Manager / Owner and the rest of the Cloud Product Team in designing, constructing and maintaining a platform ecosystem that supports the product, service and revenue collection as part the Pax8 lead-to-cash process.

This position is based in Auckland, NZ.

**Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to)**:

- Technical engineer for systems and systems integrations that underpin Pax8.
- Primary system owner for Pax8's Microsoft Azure Stack deployment:

- Delivery and development of the 'Pax8 Cloud powered by Azure Stack' product.
- System health, observability and availability. o Lifecycle maintenance, updates and upgrades.
- Integration with Cloud Platform and Business Apps. o Functionality in line with customer and business requirements, and market trends.
- Technical relationships with Microsoft product and support teams.
- Supporting and upskilling Cloud Services Team on Azure Stack.
- Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud systems development.
- Product catalog and billing engine development and integration (Zuora).
- Day-to-day integrations and operations management of the Cloud LOB Applications (Salesforce, Zuora, Azure & Azure Stack, VMware, Veeam etc.). APIs, workflows, synchronisations.
- Cloud product and service delivery as part of roadmap; Tenant and subscription services, management & monitoring, platform lifecycle, provisioning and authentication.
- Supporting the Engineering Lead and Dev Team across platform design and delivery, including app infrastructure; Azure, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Advanced and emergency after hours support where required.
- Mentoring the Product Team and peers on technology and the Pax8 Platform.
- Advise and support the Professional Services Team across Azure, Azure Stack and Cloud/DevOps technologies and practices.
- Provide coaching to and support the professional development of Sales Teams and other customer facing teams to enhance their technical and product knowledge, and technical sales skills.

**Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies**:

- Strong practical experience with relevant large-scale enterprise or hosting environments.
- You will have 2-3 years proven experience in one or more of the followings:

- Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON.
- Experience with deploying services within Microsoft Azure, working with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and deployments, and Azure Active Directory.
- Knowledge of DevOps - Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, implementing task/process automation, CI/CD pipelines, Git and Powershell.
- The ability to communicate strongly, engage with stakeholders, and elicit a clear understanding of requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective cross-function working relationships.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to 'think ahead' and 'future proof'.
