**About the role**
In this role, you’ll be a key senior member of our cloud, platform & operations team which is responsible for all hosted infrastructure, and deployment operations in Amazon Web Services (AWS), building and operating the platforms we use to deliver reliable and scalable services to our business and other digital teams. You’ll be responsible to provide technical leadership in design, build, deployment and technical operations of our core infrastructure and systems, including working closely with internal and external resources, scheduling, risk management, system operations, communications, and status reporting.
**Who we are looking for**
You’ll bring significant public cloud systems engineering and support experience, combined with solid IT infrastructure admin experience.
You’re comfortable with automation, installation, administration, monitoring and maintenance of IT infrastructure technologies in a modern enterprise corporate environment.
You’ll have a thorough understanding of server and OS administration - ideally both Windows and Linux - coupled with the ability to script infrastructure automation and operations tasks. Exposure to Kubernetes and containerisation is a plus.
Real AWS experience is a must, as is experience with the native AWS frameworks - CloudFormation, Systems Manager and more, plus enterprise management tooling like Commvault, New Relic, FinOps tools, and the like.
Preferred experience with VMware Cloud on AWS including HCX and NSX, be able to manage the deployment of subnets, virtual machines and firewall policy within the SDDC
You’ll have an ability to work in a high-performing team, using Agile methodologies, to achieve goals and milestones effectively, while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail. You’ll have a strong career drive to build your technical skills and develop highly automated, self-service mínimal operations products and services***
