**About the Role**
- We’re looking for an experienced and motivated **Advisor - Health and Safety** to join our People and Capability Group. This role can be **based in either Christchurch or Queenstown**, providing expert advice, guidance and hands-on support to leaders and teams across the organisation.
- As an Advisor, you will help build the CAA’s health and safety capability and culture, ensuring our people work in safe, supportive environments. You will contribute to a wide range of initiatives including incident investigations, reporting, data analysis, -critical risk management, and the development of frameworks, resources and tools.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver practical and strategic health and safety advice across CAA.
- Support the implementation of health and safety programmes, frameworks, and systems.
- Coach and influence leaders to build health and safety capability and compliance.
- Assist with incident investigations and return-to-work planning.
- Contribute to the development and analysis of H&S data, insights and reporting.
- Support the delivery of capability building activities such as training and workshops.
- Ensure policies, procedures and tools are up to date and aligned with best practice.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including ACC, unions, and governing bodies.
- The salary range for this role is between $98 689 and $120 941. Starting salary will be dependent on skills and experience, and take into account internal relativities.

**What You Will Bring**
- Tertiary qualification in health, safety, and wellbeing or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a similar advisory role, preferably in large or multi-site environments.
- Strong working knowledge of New Zealand’s health and safety legislation.
- Ability to coach and partner with leaders to embed best-practice approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Experience supporting audits and contributing to continuous improvement.
