Are you a seasoned Site Manager with a strong background in commercial and industrial construction? We're seeking an experienced professional to join the Attika team, managing large projects across the South Island, and beyond. This is a key role for their expanding turnkey projects, where you'll lead both the in-house team and external subcontractors.

Previously XL Structural, Attika delivers purposeful building solutions to its clients. With packages including design and build, Attika is all about smart commercial building options that align with their customers' needs. Part of Alpine Buildings NZ Ltd, Attika has decades of experience and a proven track record behind it.

**About the Role**

As Site Manager, you will be the on-site leader for Attika's projects. You will have a dual role, managing larger projects while also being prepared to act as a foreman and work hands-on with the crew on smaller jobs. We're looking for someone who can take full ownership of the site, from safety protocols to project execution.

**Responsibilities & Duties**

- **Project Leadership**: Manage all on-site activities, including a mix of in-house employees and subcontractors, from civil works to finishing trades.
- **Health & Safety**: Own and drive the Site-Specific Safety Plan and all other health and safety procedures.
- **Hands-On Experience**: Use your practical experience in foundations, precast installation, steel erection, and cladding/roofing to effectively manage Attika's in-house teams. Be ready to work alongside your crew on smaller projects.
- **Quality & Communication**: Establish and maintain quality control processes, communicate with clients under the direction of the Project Manager, and attend all required meetings.
- **Project Management**: Proactively review project consent packs, manage on-site resources, and quickly identify any threats to the project schedule or budget.
- **Problem-Solving**: Collaborate with all stakeholders to solve problems and maintain project flow.

**Who We're Looking For**

- You will have 5-10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction and a good computer proficiency.
- Ideally, you will be based in Mid-Canterbury, with the bulk of Attika's projects located in Timaru, Ashburton, and Christchurch.
- The ability to work on projects in Otago, Southland, and Tasman is also a plus.
- You will thrive under pressure and be comfortable meeting tight deadlines.
