About the role

Kirimana is seeking an experienced Residential Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Ashburton, Canterbury. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating residential electrical work being carried out within a large commercial development, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of residential electrical crews on a commercial build
  • Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
  • Liaise with clients and site managers to understand requirements and communicate progress
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment for residential electrical installations
  • Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to electricians and apprentices
  • Mentor and train junior electricians to develop their skills
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and site regulations

What we're looking for

  • Qualified electrician with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a residential electrical supervisory role
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential electrical systems and installations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, builders, and site teams
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety regulations and building codes
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
