We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our National Workforce Planning Team. The team are responsible for:

- Development and maintenance of national roster patterns.
- Review of existing operations through site profiling.
- Workforce management best practice training and guidance.
- Technical support for our roster technology system.

As part of the team, you will support our frontline Custodial Services group with the maintenance and development of site roster patterns within funded levels including the accurate entry of patterns into workforce management roster technology Kronos.

**Ngā kawenga | About the role**

We have the opportunity for a person with analytical skills to join the Workforce Planning team based in Wellington. Reporting to the Principal Adviser, your role as an Analyst will be to support prison sites to improve their operational effectiveness by responding to their workforce planning needs and providing ongoing enhancements to site rosters.

Along with your analytical skills, you will be a quick learner, with the ability to pick up new systems and processes, whilst working amongst a supportive and uplifting team.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

We are keen to hear from applicants who have;
- Frontline custodial experience with knowledge of operational practice across several areas
- A passion for numbers with analytical and data analysis skills
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of formulas
- Experience in roster development (ideal but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Understanding of risk management processes
- An ability to learn new systems and processes
- An ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

**Utu ā-tau | Salary**

The midpoint of the salary range is $84,594 and the full range (85%-120%) is $71,905 - $101,513. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
