We are looking for the ultimate Team Leader to effectively grow, lead and manage a team of academic and business support kaimahi. The role sits within the Applied Business Curriculum Area, which comprises of business programmes of study. As a Team Leader you will be instrumental in supporting the team as we transition to new ways of working as Te Pūkenga.

As a key leadership role, this position will be responsible for:

- Implementing practices that reflect the values, strategic direction, and guiding documents of Te Pūkenga
- Providing operational leadership and management of the curriculum delivery
- Providing effective line management and mentoring of kaimahi
- Supporting the transition and the embedding of Te Pūkenga ways of working
- Building a strong, flexible team and excellent working environment
- Analysing data to drive decision making and action
- Building strong, sustainable, and valued relationships and networks that open up opportunities for new delivery that meets our current and future ākonga needs and wants.
- Leading and embedding a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that enhances ākonga experience and educational outcomes.
- Supporting the Curriculum Area Manager to manage operational and budget requirements whilst supporting kaimahi to deliver excellence to ākonga and their whanau every time.

**About you / He kōrero mōu**

Leading a team that meets ākonga needs every time, will require an effective leader who is highly organised with excellent communication skills, that can champion change and support a shift to new ways of working.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Relevant Level 5 or 6 Certificate or Diploma with 10+ years' relevant experience in technical/specialist field OR
- Relevant specialist tertiary degree qualification with 8+ years' relevant experience in technical/specialist field.
- Experience within the education sector.
- Experience communicating change within an organisation.

and be able to demonstrate:

- Commitment to the Principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and demonstrate these values in everything you do
- Experience in building and leading an effective team
- An ability to think strategically and implement and manage change as it relates to the specific area and its growth,
- Passion for delivering the highest service to our ākonga and stakeholders
- Outstanding communication
- A growth mindset, proven analytical skills and be solution focussed
- Proficiency in Microsoft work tools
- Experience of having worked and engaged with industry partners, within Aotearoa and offshore, to develop and support collaborative and beneficial relationships
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources and operationalise a team effectively.
