Hiring Full time security guards for Auckland region.

Shifts available in:

- Static
- Patrolling (full NZ license or overseas equivalent required)
- Able to stand/sit for an extended period (6-12 hours)
- Professional appearance
- Must be able to work various sites each week
- Clean criminal history.
- Current Certificate of Approval/ability to attain a COA
- Excellent communication skills
- High levels of personal presentation
- Be active and physically fit
- Ability to maintain and develop positive relations with clients
- Able to work in a team or individually
- Must display current COA all times at all sites
- A strong work ethic which encompasses a positive and productive approach to work

Job duties include:

- Ensuring all employments are on site timely
- Ensuring all employees maintain codes of conduct
- Must cover the unattended site and be able to study new sites to recognise potential hazards and report to supervisor
- Must be able to get induction on-site and protect the site from potential threats
- Read the follow the SOP's of site
- Ensuring that sites are fully compliant to the set standards.
- Report to authorised person of daily activities
- Report your arrival on-site to the client
- Record and report all work related incidents, non-compliant activity, injuries to authorised person etc
- Comply with client's instructions
- Maintain efficiency while working in a team
- Ability to cover the shift when required patrolling or static
- Must work on a shift roster and work unsupervised.
- Ability to work calmly, accurately, and efficiently under pressure with honesty, integrity and a high level of initiative.
- patrolling property and checking doors, windows and gates for unauthorised entry
- watching for irregularities such as fire hazards, malfunctions of machines and equipment, lights left on, leaking water pipes and unlocked security doors
- Issuing & Checking security passes to authorised visitors and giving directions
- monitoring alarms and contacting supervisors, police and fire brigades by radio or phone if security is breached or fire is detected
- picking up and ensuring the safe delivery of cash, payrolls and valuables
- operating coin and currency counting machines, and carrying out cash counting and packaging functions
- maintaining order at venues where there are large gatherings of people
- conducting investigations for clients and preparing evidence for court proceedings
- detecting and investigating theft and other unlawful acts carried out in retail establishments.
- advising clients on security requirements and designing security specifications
- Checking customers' receipts on exit point of retail stores
- Making and maintaining queue of people at the large gathering venue
- Clock in and clock off timely
- Recording and maintain visitors' vehicle's registration plate where required

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Ability to Commute:
Auckland City, Auckland (preferred)
