Policy Analyst, Monitoring & Appointments Team (x2)
Are you passionate about good governance, diversity and helping Ministers to appoint great people to a diverse range of governance roles?
Are you an Advisor looking for a new challenge or a recruitment professional looking to explore appointments from a different angle? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
You will deliver important outputs for Ministers, including advice on key appointments. You will work closely with Ministerial offices and senior representatives from a range of public organisations and from across our Department. This will mean that you will build diverse knowledge and multiple working relationships.
No day will be the same as you move between providing advice on appointments to Crown entities, statutory bodies, and deed-based boards across five Ministerial portfolios.
Experience with appointments to statutory bodies would be an advantage but is not essential as we will support your development and learning.
**In this role you will have the opportunity to**:
- provide intellectual leadership as part of advising Ministers on key appointments, including drafting Ministerial briefings and Cabinet papers;
- provide clear and high impact advice on appointments processes; and
- manage a set of appointments from beginning to end.
