**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**
The Associate Charge Nurse Manager (PACU) is in charge of making sure that PACU is running smoothly. You will work closely with the PACU Clinical Nurse Coordinators, PACU RNs, Anaesthetists, Anaesthesia Technicians, Operating Theatre RNs and surgeons to make sure that patient flow through PACU, from operating theatres, is suitably maintained. You will focus on coordination duties in the AM, and non-clinical duties in the PM. You will help manage any crises that may occur, including short-staffing issues, and may be required to care for post-operative patients. You will also create a monthly roster each month and manage safe staffing within the unit. Another important focus of the role is maintaining RN PDRPs in conjunction with the PACU Nurse Educator.

The Wellington Hospital PACU comprises approximately 45 staff made up of permanent and casual staff that are providing excellent care to post-operative patients. We deal with all major and minor types of surgery, except cardiac.

- PACU experience is a must
- Leadership experience is a bonus
- Current APC
- Rostering experience desirable
