**What you’ll be doing**:
Bring your asset management leadership, experience, and expertise to the fore with this exciting opportunity to lead the development and maturity of Chorus’ asset management capability. Working with our asset portfolio managers your expertise and consultative approach will be essential in the adoption and evolution of best practice, model’s and techniques to ensure our asset management planning and practices maximise the value and experience of Chorus’ network and services for New Zealand customers.

The key accountabilities of this consultative role includes:

- Determining and directing the future development of Chorus’ asset management capability to best support long term customer needs.
- Lead the development and delivery of asset management policy, strategy, and capability to ensure asset management practices continue to mature and deliver value through Chorus’ asset investment, planning and operations functions and meet stakeholders Price Quality expectations.
- Lead the implementation of consistent and repeatable asset management frameworks, standards, and practices.
- Lead the delivery and evolution of Chorus’ asset management capability roadmaps focused on the complete asset management lifecycle for all Chorus asset portfolios.

**What you’ll bring to the table**:
Having a real passion for what you do is a great start - but having the following will definitely help:

- Broad strategic and ‘systems’ thinking skills, consultative style with excellent communications skills with ability to influencing for outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
- Practical and strategic experience and knowledge of asset management principles.
- Collaborative relationship building skills, and interpersonal skills with ability to converse, influence and work with senior management to improve organisational effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Curiosity in exploring new methods and ways of getting things done, with an ability to frame and lead change through others.
- Extensive experience in telecommunication, energy, utility style industry.
