We’re calling on experienced clinical professionals who’ve walked alongside tāne through some of life’s toughest moments. If you’re a senior counsellor with a strong kaupapa Māori approach and the clinical depth to guide whānau through distress, this is your next move.

**Te Whānau o Waipareira’s** _Te Aka Matua_ service is a bold, Māori-led response to the rising mental health needs of our whānau - especially our tāne. Grounded in tikanga and mātauranga Māori, this service blends traditional Māori healing with modern psychotherapy to uplift wellbeing across the motu. This is a senior-level opportunity for a seasoned counsellor or clinician with a passion for uplifting tāne Māori.

**Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing**
- Deliver therapeutic care that centres the wellbeing of tāne Māori and their whānau
- Conduct clinical assessments, manage risk, and lead strength-based interventions
- Guide and mentor other kaimahi to uphold clinical and cultural integrity
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to design care pathways that work for tāne
- Connect whānau with wider support networks across health, social, and cultural services
- Support the growth of male-focused kaupapa within Te Aka Matua

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | What You’ll Bring**
- **Full registration**under DAPAANZ or registered Social Worker
- Extensive experience in counselling or clinical mental health - especially with tāne Māori
- Deep understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and kaupapa Māori models of healing
- Proven ability to assess and manage complex cases with cultural and clinical safety
- A clean **full New Zealand Driver’s Licence**
