Team Leader Design

Are you a talented designer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you love Christchurch and want to contribute to making Christchurch a great place? We're looking for a Team Leader to lead our in-house design team. This is a rare opportunity working in one of NZ's largest Councils.
Reporting to the Manager - Marketing & Identity, the Team Leader Design is an exciting and rewarding role where you will be responsible for providing creative direction, guidance, mentoring and overseeing our talented team of graphic and digital designers to bring our marketing, communications and engagement material to life. As part of the wider Communications and Engagement Unit you will be a key part of the team delivering marketing, communications and engagement material for a wide range of Council services and activities across digital and traditional channels.
This role involves a mix of leadership and design work, so we are looking for someone with leadership experience, strong creative design skills - particularly in digital design - and the ability to interpret and offer creative solutions to customer needs and briefs in line with our brand guidelines and strategy.
**Additional information**:
- Hours of work - full time, 40 hours Monday - Friday_
- Location - This position is primarily based at our Civic Offices, 53 Hereford St_
