Ko wai mātou | Who are we
We are Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children's Hospital, located in central Auckland.
Starship Child Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family centred care to neonates, children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. Starship is a part of Te Toka Tumai | Auckland City Hospital and is the only comprehensive children's hospital in New Zealand serving a population of approximately 1 million children.
The Family Options programme services the 4 northern region DHBs and focuses on the co-ordination of innovative solutions in the provision of respite care for children who are medically fragile and/ or technologically dependent in their own home. The Needs Assessor joins the central team of Starship Community and is a main contributor to this Regional Programme.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for a Needs Assessor to join our Family Options service to provide assessment of care needs for children with complex and long term medical conditions, within the context of their family, whānau and home environment.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

**To be successful you will**:
Be a registered clinician with a current NZ annual practicing certificate
Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
Have a clinical background of at least 5+ years.
Have a full, clean and current New Zealand driver's licence as this role will involve driving an ADHB pool car.
Be an experienced clinician with a passion for paediatrics
Have commitment to our organisational values
