We have an excellent leadership opportunity for a highly organized and results focused team player to join our team as a Duty Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In the absence of Department Managers and other members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistently fresh and appealing shopping experience for customers.

This is a working Duty Manager role our main duties will include:

- Managing and maintaining the set standard of the store, ensuring all shelves are fully stocked and everything is full, fresh and of the best quality possible. with regular checks and clear instructions.
- Managing the flow of the checkouts ensuring customers can get in and out as quickly as possible.
- Managing staff and giving instructions to ensure the store upholds the set standard.
- Maintaining and managing the cleanliness of the store including aisles, storeroom, and back areas keeping it up to the set standard.
- Dealing with customer issues or suggestions in a timely manner.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across the departments, including but not limited to store policies, health and safety and food safety standards.
- Supporting and assisting our Scannables Manager and Store Manager
- Ensuring all departments are maintaining appropriate store display standards
- Ensure the store is closed securely at end of each trading day.
- Control store security - ensure rear store door locked and secured.

The Successful Applicant will have
- Have experience and be confident in providing clear and consistent direction to staff.
- Be approachable for both customers and staff.
- Provide consistently high levels of customer service.
- Have great attention to detail and a good command of written/spoken English.
- Be physically able to carry out manual handling of product at different levels.
- Have a current LCQ and a forklift license and previous forklift experience and or suitable to qualify for one.
- A great work ethic and enjoy working as part of a team
- Positivity, initiative and self-motivation
- Comply with Food control plan and Heath and Safety program

This could potentially be part-time or full-time permanent position days and hours will be discussed at the interview

Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship or New Zealand Permanent Residency.
