**About the role**
The International Service Group (ISG) is looking for a dynamic and professional member to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a unique part of the organisation which manages NZ Police's contribution to international security and development operations.
The purpose of International Services Group (ISG) is to:
- Support NZ’s foreign policy objectives in both the Pacific region and beyond
- Further NZ’s law enforcement interests internationally
- Contribute to disaster and emergency response and security liaisons
As the Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor, you will support the delivery of these objectives by providing efficient and effective advice on the monitoring and evaluation components of Police’s Overseas Assistance Programmes (in particular the work of the NZ Transnational Crime Unit (NZTCU)), and other international activities as required.
**Key accountabilities**:
- _Development of Monitoring and Evaluation systems and processes_:_ Support Police’s overseas assistance programmes, in particular the NZTCU, through the development of logic frameworks, results measurement tables, indicators of success and reporting systems.
- _Research and analysis_: Design and conduct research, surveys, and evaluations to help measure progress of Police overseas assistance programmes and identify any performance trends and issues.
- _Programme reporting_: Collate performance information and develop quarterly, annual and other programme progress reports for presentation to ISG Management, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and the NZTCU Governance Group.
- _Monitoring and evaluation advice_: Provide advice and training to Police and NZTCU advisors to ensure understanding of, and adherence to, monitoring and evaluation requirements.

- Have strong research, survey and data collection methodology skills.
- Have strong analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner.

- Have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in particular Pacific Law Enforcement networks and NZ Transnational Crime Unit counterparts.
- Have knowledge of monitoring & evaluation, performance and reporting frameworks.
- Preferably have knowledge of capability development programmes and/or policing in an international context.
