**About the role**
Launching rockets and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Software drives every aspect of this, and Rocket Lab has a large number of complex software products.

Working with Rocket Lab’s software team a Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for coordination and execution of all aspects of software quality including standards, processes, testing, and configuration management. You’ll have a software development background and be comfortable talking in depth with engineers regarding implementation details.

**Essential skills**
- Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a software development environment with major focus on software quality assurance.
- Experience with Redmine, Jira or other issue tracker
- Experience with Team City, Jenkins, GitLab CI or other build system.
- Use of C/C++ and/or Python for writing automated tests or tools
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- Experience with industry and regulatory software standards
