Position: Software Developer
Location: Auckland
Hours: 40 hours per week
**Responsibilities**:
- **Software Development**:
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions tailored to meet client specifications and business objectives.
- Write well-designed, efficient, and reusable code using best practices and coding standards.
- Ensure software architecture and design patterns promote scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and quality assurance testers to deliver high-quality software products.
- **Technical Analysis and Problem-Solving**:
- Analyze user requirements and technical specifications to effectively translate them into software solutions.
- Perform comprehensive code reviews to identify potential issues and ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- **Testing and Quality Assurance**:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Implement automated testing procedures to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.

- Research and evaluate new software development methodologies, frameworks, and technologies to enhance team productivity and product offerings.
- Contribute to the evolution of development processes, tools, and standards to optimize efficiency and quality across projects.
- **Documentation and Communication**:
- Document software designs, technical specifications, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and solicit feedback.
- Participate in project meetings, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to contribute ideas and insights into project planning and execution.
- **Client Interaction**:
- Engage with clients to understand their business needs, requirements, and expectations, and translate them into actionable development tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the development lifecycle, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a software developer, preferably in a web development or software engineering role.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.).
- Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, etc.) and database management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
