**About the Role**

You will be part of the Government Engagement Team that sits within the Māori & Government Engagement
Team. Ministerial Servicing is a small, agile function responsible for day-to-day advice to the Minister for
Research, Science and Innovation and our Executive Leadership Team. Key deliverables include briefings,
talking points, Official Information Act responses, Parliamentary Questions, official correspondence, corporate reporting and other products.

You will be responsible for working closely with the Ministerial Servicing Lead and Ministerial Coordinator, while collaborating with the Minister's office, MBIE (as Callaghan Innovation’s monitoring agency), as well as engagement across government and the private sector. Key tasks will be to ensure the Minister and their team are kept informed about Callaghan Innovation’s activities, and that our statutory requirements in relation to OIAs and other Ministerial Services responsibilities are being fulfilled. Working in a dynamic environment, you will utilise your strong writing skills and attention to detail to deliver high quality and ‘on-point’ advice, while juggling multiple demands and deadlines.. You will also be skilled at building and managing internal and external relationships to deliver on the information needs of the Minister and organisation.

For the Senior role, leadership skills, including a proven ability to mentor junior staff while standing in for the Ministerial Servicing Lead as required, will be essential.
