The Banking & Receivables Team are responsible for providing a shared services across our organisation for our payables, Receivables, Rates and everything in between As the Team Leader - you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the Receivables and Banking Team.

- Leadership and Team Management: You will lead a dedicated team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Receivables Management: You will develop and implement strategies to optimize the council's receivables process, ensuring accurate and timely collection of payments. Your expertise will help maintain healthy cash flow and minimize outstanding debts
- Banking Operations: You will oversee banking activities, including reconciliations, transactions, and relationship management with financial institutions. Your attention to detail and financial acumen will be essential in maintaining efficient banking processes
- Process Improvement: You will actively identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing financial systems and processes. Your innovative mindset will contribute to ongoing improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the team

- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative positive culture
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including receivables, banking operations, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
