**ST Hitec Ltd specialises in Performance Vehicles; complete engine rebuilding, custom fabrication, full race car builds, custom wiring harnesses, aftermarket modifications, suspension set ups and Dyno tuning.**

We are looking for a highly skilled Master Technician to join our Motorsport Team. The role requires a motivated team player who has proven experience in a professional performance car environment.

**Tasks will include**:

- Running our Mainline Pro Hub 4600 dyno machine
- Setting up of vehicles onto Dyno hubs
- Tuning of high performance vehicles
- Use of high end tuning software
- Expert level of Tuning of Motec Haltech Link and other brands of aftermarket engine control unit (ECU)
- Custom engine and race car harnesses
- Custom fabrication of exhaust systems turbo manifolds downpipes etc
- Competant in stainless and alloy TIG welding
- High performance full engine builds and assembly
- Knowledge of RB, 4G63 and 2JZ engine performance parts and proven upgrade parts that work in combination
- Knowledge of proven suspension set ups
- Fitting of full suspension set ups for drag racing circuit racing and drift cars
- Installing and setting up sequential gear boxes shift cuts etc thru ECU tuning
- Being able to problem solve and diagnose issues if they arise while cars are on the dyno
- Working with management on best procedures for optimum output and highest level of quality control and signing off vehicles before going back to the customer
- Extensive product knowledge on build plans parts needed for best reliability and performance within the customer’s specific budgets
- Coordinating with technicians within our Motorsport team
- Team leader at track events to technicians
- Overseeing jobs are being done of the highest standard
- Ability to help up skill staff within our team
- Expert driving ability and driving education & data logging to give customers best advice on faster lap times
- Being able to drive cars and see were suspension and handling set ups can be improved for quicker lap times

**Experience Required**:

- Minimum 5 years proven experience in the above tasks
- Motorsport experience
- Experience in a professional performance car environment.
- Experience with dyno tuning
- A high level of knowledge with Motec Haltech Link EcuTec Fueltech ECUs.
- Master skill set in setting up Drag cars circuit cars drift cars as well as street cars.
- High Level of experience working with JDM performance cars

We work with a lot of international brands like Nitto, Quaffe, PPG, Holinger, AMS, T1 Racing, Dodsons Motorsport, ETS and Precision, Borg Warner & Garrett Turbos, Spool, Nitto, Tomei, Radium & Endless so a good knowledge of these brands will be required.

Must be a team leader and be able to help direct the team at motorsport events also.

**Location Auckland**

**Positions available 1**

**Employment is a permanent position and is for a minimum of 40hrs a week Monday to Friday.**

**Pay rate offered is between $40 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.**

**Applicants must be able to work some weekends, evenings or public holidays if required.**

**Heavy lifting is required.**

Pay: Wage is hourly rate, negotiable by skill level
