**Maintenance & Projects Advisor - Building Automation and Controls**

The Facilities & Asset Planning team is experienced and driven and are appointing a Maintenance & Projects Advisor to manage the strategy, operation and planned preventative and reactive maintenance of the Building Automation and Controls systems within Council Facilities. In addition to leading the scoping, planning and implementation of building automation projects you will also work with other business units, providing BMS advice and support in the delivery of robust asset management processes.
This is a key role where you will ensure buildings, plant and systems meet legal and performance requirements and any interruption to Council services is minimised.
Your background will demonstrate previous experience in designing, developing, and commissioning Building Management systems. Project management experience in a large complex organisation with proven experience coordinating several projects simultaneously, would be ideal.
You will be degree qualified, with a BE Electrical/Electronic, Controls or have demonstrable experience although key to your success you will have:
- The ability to think strategically and successfully deliver operational requirements.
- A strong analytical ability and be able to use technology and management platforms to create sound business cases that deliver ongoing process improvements and savings.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, be an adept presenter of ideas and can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Sound commercial acumen and the ability to drive new initiatives.
- A focus on results and improving better outcomes for Council facilities.
- High levels of energy and motivation.
