**The role - Te mahi**
This Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor role represents an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to ongoing teaching of dental students while being well supported by a collegial and dynamic Faculty and University.
Key tasks for this position include:
- Conducting research-informed teaching across a range of dental courses, including the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Oral Health, and the Master of Community Dentistry.
- Contributing to curriculum design for undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
- Undertaking research resulting in quality-assured publications within the discipline, either individually or as part of a group.
- Contributing to the running of the Department, School, Division and the University.

- A record of internationally peer-reviewed published research.
- Excellent teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

- Full understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the University's Māori Strategic Framework.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent (confirmation path) position, located in Dunedin.
If an applicant is a dentist registerable as a Dental Public Health specialist with the Dental Council of New Zealand, the salary range for this position is: Lecturer $88,278 to $108,764/Senior Lecturer $134,798 to $175,774/Associate Professor $179,188 to $194,552.
If an applicant is not dentally-qualified the salary range is the salary range for this position is: Lecturer $87,152 to $103,550/Senior Lecturer $108,732 to $134,432/Associate Professor $139,921 to $153,581.
