**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This role offers great opportunities to work in a team to support tamariki and rangatahi in the acute phase of their recovery, improve the lives of whānau who experience serious mental health issues, and to achieve equity for Māori. The team has a strong emphasis on whānau involvement in the recovery of their loved ones care. As a community-based service, we are open Monday to Friday.

We are the Te Whatu Ora, Waikato Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Service - Hamilton (ICAMHS). We provide specialist services for infants, tamariki and rangatahi experiencing serious mental health challenges. If you enjoy wide open green spaces, cycle trails, têxtile learning, waananga, whakapapa research or connection and much more, then living and working in the Waikato would suit you.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
- You are someone committed to working in a whānau centred way that includes providing services in a way that meets the needs of all tamariki, rangatahi, whānau, hapu and Iwi.
- This position would suit a person committed to doing their best to achieve overall whānau wellbeing.
- Being active in the local iwi or hapu and an awareness and understanding of te iwi maori me oona tikanga, (maori culture and values) and being able to connect with the whanau on all levels would be an asset to this role.
