**Waterways Labourers - Temporary**

**What's the job?**

We need reliable and motivated Waterway Labourers to join our Christchurch Citycare Water team on a temporary basis. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a driver licence we would love to hear from you.

Our Waterway Labourers are responsible for maintaining rivers and streams. You will be responsible for cutting banks as you move down the rivers around Christchurch. During the summer months you will move into aquatic weed eating and removal.

You will be operating weed eaters and garden tools, raking of oxidised weeds, both on the banks and whilst in the river, so will need to be agile and fit for this role.

**We're looking for people with the following skills and experience**:

- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable in water, sometimes up to your chest in height so need to be a confident swimmer.
- You will have good attendance, punctual and reliable.
- Health and Safety focused with a positive attitude.
- Work well in a team environment and open minded in a changing environment.
- Be available to start work from as soon as possible
- A minimum of restricted licence and reliable transport.
