As a Waterways Crew Leader your purpose will be to maintain all stormwater assets associated to the Stormwater and Waterways contract, ensuring that water can flow freely. You will be responsible for 3-4 crew members, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently and to contract specifications. Day-to-day you will be planning work/daily tasks, supervising and training your crew members. Comprehensive, on the job training will be provided.

**Key Tasks**
- Manual handling tasks associated to the maintenance of waterways and stormwater assets
- General Labouring (Digging, lifting and carrying heavy objects)
- Operating machinery and small plant such as weed eaters, hedge cutters, chainsaws, sprayers and other tools associated with the job
- Removal of objects/vegetation/debirs from waterways and stormwater assets
- Documentation of work progress, workflows, timesheets and health and safety matters

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Class 1 full licence required as a minimum (you will be required to drive both automatic and manual vehicles)
- Comprehensive workplace First Aid
- Competent in the operation of all associated plant and machinery
- Experience supervising and training staff
- Strong team building and communication skills

You will be safety and quality focused, physically fit, able to work independently as well as part of the team, able to work overtime hours from time to time, and willing to do the occasional night work.
