**About the role**:
This role can be based in either Auckland (airport) or Christchurch (Burnside), with a preference towards Auckland.

As our new Operational Safety Advisor, you will be joining a close-knit supportive team full of passionate leaders of safety. This role is all about ensuring robust and comprehensive safety investigations are carried out, building, and maintaining trusted relationships, and working collaboratively with other business units and stakeholders to achieve cross-functional safety objectives that help improve Airways safety performance and mitigate operational risk.

Please note this role relates to operational safety and the prevention of aircraft accidents and incidents and is not a health and safety role.

**About you**:
With a talent for conducting robust safety assessments and investigations, you will have proven experience in a safety role, preferably in operational safety. You will possess excellent analytical skills and be an experienced user of computer and safety related systems.

As an outstanding and natural communicator, you will be an avid listener and your stakeholder relationship skills will be second to none. Of course, you have exceptional planning and organising skills and your natural resilience and ability to work collaboratively while juggling multiple priorities will see you go far in this role.

Highly beneficial:

- Formal training in incident investigation
- Previous experience in ATC or ATM technology.
